Pascal Eenkhoorn has showed himself in his best light in the first stage of the Colorado Classic. The 21-year old Dutchman was in the early breakaway for eighty kilometers, but was caught by the peloton in the last ten kilometers of the stage in and around Vail. Neilson Powless was our top finisher in twelfth place. Koen Bouwman finished fifteenth.

"It was a very difficult stage because of the altitude.", thus Eenkhoorn. "I was feeling really good and attacked after the first lap. I knew it was possible but unfortunately the stage was a little too long and the strongest guy of our group attacked and won."
