After his fall in the second stage of the Tour of Switzerland Robert Gesink went to the hospital for further examinations. Robert can't remember anything of the crash. He hit a pothole and fall on his head and his helmet. 

The medical staff indicates that he has a head trauma without complications and several abrasions. The recovery is assessed day by day towards the Tour de France. After a reasonable night's sleep Robert will fly back home to recover.
