Team LottoNL-Jumbo hasn’t been able to play a leading role in the Tacx Pro Classic. The team of sports director Merijn Zeeman could not make the difference in the echelons during the race through the countryside of the Dutch province of Zeeland.

Bram Tankink said goodbye to the professional cycling sport. The Tacx Pro Classic was his last official race.

“As expected, the race resulted in echelons”, Zeeman said. “After the first selection, Jos was part of the leading group. He certainly belonged to the stronger riders in the race, but he was targeted. Then you know that it is going to be difficult. Also because at that point, he was the only team member in the front. It’s a pity, but it is what it is.”
