No top result, but good feeling after Prudential RideLondon

Enrico Battaglin has finished in twentieth position in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic. The race in and around London, which was scourged by the rain and heavy wind, ended in a bunch sprint. Team LottoNL-Jumbo rode a good race by showing themselves in the final with five riders.

Sports director Grischa Niermann had seen a strong team. “The team did really well today. We came here after a long altitude training block. We had to wait and see how the boys would feel. But with Enrico, Maarten, Daan, Bert-Jan and Jos, we still had five men in the front. That’s good and that’s promising for the upcoming races.”
