Preview Il Lombardia and races in Asia

The cycling season is almost over. This weekend, we’ll start in Il Lombardia, the Tacx Pro Classic and the Hammer Series Hong Kong. We’ll close the year with the Japan Cup and the Tour of Guangxi.

In China, Dylan Groenewegen will start. Can he take his fourteenth win of the season? His lead-out, consisting of Timo Roosen and Amund Grondahl Jansen, will be there to support him.

Sports Director Grischa Niermann: “The focus is on winning a sprint stage with Dylan. The first three stages are flat. The fourth stage ends on a three kilometres long climb. Neilson Powless and Sepp Kuss will get their chances there.”

For most of our climbers, Il Lombardia is the last race of the year. “With Primoz Roglic and George Bennett we have two strong riders who can go for a good result”, Sports Director Addy Engels said. “The course is almost the same as last year’s. The big differences will be made on the Ghisallo and Sormano, with a technical descent. After that, the two final climbs will follow. A hard one to Civiglio and a climb with the top at three kilometres from the finish line.”

Hammer Series Hong Kong

This Sunday, we’ll start in the last Hammer Series race of the season. Earlier, there were races in Norway and the Netherlands. After these two, our team is fourth in the general classification, a few points behind the number three. What can our riders do in Hong Kong?
