Team Jumbo and Vifit have expanded their partnership. In addition to the cycling team, the producer of dairy and sports nutrition will also support the speed skating team for the next three years. The Vifit logo will grace Team Jumbo’s skating suits as of the upcoming World Cup Qualifier this Friday in Thialf, Heerenveen. The contract with the FrieslandCampina brand has been extended to 2021 and now embraces both sporting disciplines of Team Jumbo.

“I think it’s great that Vifit now also supports our speed skaters”, speed skating coach Jac Orie says. “In the past months, we have already tried the products via the cycling team and the skaters were very enthusiastic about them. I am very happy that we have been able to expand the cooperation and to connect an A-brand with our team again."

Richard Plugge, director of the cycling team, is also very enthusiastic about the new, extended agreement. “Our intention was always to extend this partnership over time. After a successful season, it is good to see that this partnership can be beneficial for all parties. Over the last year, we have worked together with Vifit on developing and improving the products and we will continue to do so in the coming years”, Plugge says.

Strengthen people

The speed skaters and cyclists will use the products of Vifit Sport (protein-rich recovery drinks, powders and bars as well as energy gels and bars) and Vifit (such as Vifit drink yoghurt, Vifit Goedemorgen, Vifit Sport quark and Vifit Sport drink yoghurt) for the next three years.

Bas Roelofs, director of FrieslandCampina Netherlands, is looking forward to strengthening the cooperation: “Our philosophy is nourishing by nature.
